Reliability by design

Each and every product (hand-built by Mitaka Kohki engineers in the Mitaka district of Tokyo, Japan) should be considered a marvel of future-proof technology.

Based on the company’s space development heritage, Mitaka’s medical visualisation devices are famous – not only for their ultimate optical and mechanical performance but also for their legendary robustness, reliability, and long service life.

Our first-class after-sales support is the natural extension of this uncompromising approach.

Mitaka Support philosophy

Careful design engineering and precision manufacturing result in exceptional reliability.

But we don’t stop there. We extend the “Mitaka experience” by providing our customers with comprehensive initial training, custom optimisations, and any other support they may need during the lifetime of the devices they purchase.

Mitaka Europe’s engineers take pride in working with our products in the most demanding clinical applications, supporting ambitious surgeons, and together expanding the frontiers of medical possibilities.

Central Service immediate solution

Mitaka Europe operates a European Central Service Department which is always ready to deal with any possible technical problem. Our objective is to solve most service cases within the European Union in as little as 24 hours.

Our Central Service Department is located inside the European Union (Schengen Area). It provides immediate, customs-free access to a full range of spare parts and components.

Whenever you need our support, you may be sure that a highly qualified Mitaka Europe engineer and a complete stock of spare parts will be at your disposal.

In the most urgent cases, we make use of small aircraft within our European range of operations. A Mitaka service engineer can arrive at almost any EU location on the same day, together with the necessary equipment and spare parts.

Complimentary transition training

The programme focuses on the technical mastery of our surgical microscopes so that you can get the most out of Mitaka's high-performance devices during intricate clinical procedures.

Each time there is a change in the configuration of your surgical team, such as change in its scope or a new research or clinical project, you can take advantage of additional complimentary training given by Mitaka Europe's engineers. You will be asked to complete a short questionnaire during enrolment to determine whether you meet the requirements for the programme and to help us to connect you with the right specialist.

Mitaka's surgical devices are used by surgeons who demand the highest optical performance and precision and who constantly redefine the existing technical limitations.

The most important factor in continuous improvement is medical knowledge and skills passed down through generations of users. The Mitaka Immerse programme allows members of the medical community to maximise their experience of using Mitaka microscopes. It provides training opportunities on the machine each time there is a significant change to the operating team's configuration.

Our goal is to achieve absolute satisfaction by empowering surgical teams to redefine the technical limitations during clinical procedures and by helping them to exploit the full capabilities of our devices.
